IRCTC Tatkal Cancellation Rules
- Confirmed Tatkal Tickets: NO REFUND is granted on the cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets. The cancellation charge is 100% of the fare.
- Waitlisted Tatkal Tickets: If you cancel a waitlisted Tatkal ticket, a flat clerkage charge of ₹60 is deducted, and the rest is refunded (similar to general waitlisted tickets).
- Auto-cancellation: If a Tatkal ticket remains waitlisted after chart preparation, it is automatically cancelled, and the refund (minus ₹60 clerkage) is credited back to your account.
- Train Cancellation Exception: If the train is cancelled by the railway authorities, a full refund is granted for both confirmed and waitlisted Tatkal tickets without any deductions.
